The ECAC-West released the women’s All-Conference Teams Thursday with Plattsburgh State well-represented. Seven Lady Cardinals were honored.
Senior forward Stephanie Moberg earned ECAC-West Player of the Year. Moberg scored 17 goals and added 14 assists for 31 points in conference play.
Junior goalie Mandy Mackrell was voted Goalie of the Year. She led the league in winning percentage at a .962 clip, while also compiling a .937 save percentage and a 1.30 goals against average.
Head Coach Kevin Houle was named Coach of the Year in the ECAC Women's West. Houle led the Cardinals to an unbeaten run in league play, with an impressive 17-0-1 record. The 17 league wins are the most in Cardinal's team history. As the top seed in the playoffs, Plattsburgh will play host for the Women's West semifinals and championship game this weekend.
Junior defenseman Kara Buehler joined Moberg and Mackrell on the First Team, registering 18 of her 19 assists in league play.
Junior Erika Shaubel earned one of the two defensemen slots on the Second Team, while classmate Megan DiJulio made the team as a forward. Shaubel recorded three goals and 17 points in conference play, while DiJulio notched 17 goals and 25 points from the wing.
Senior forward Laurie Bowler’s 11 goals and 18 points earned her an Honorable Mention nomination and freshman forward Teal Gove was selected to the All-Rookie Team with seven goals and 13 points.
