Lacrosse steamrolls Brockport; showdown in Cortland next

The Plattsburgh State lacrosse team advanced to the SUNYAC championship game with a 15-7 victory at home against Brockport in the SUNYAC semifinals.

Tim Lawrence, who finished with a game-high four goals, put the Cardinals (14-3, 5-1 SUNYAC) on the board with a goal at 10:29 in the first. Brockport (6-9, 3-3 SUNYAC) responded with a goal at 8:25 to tie the game at 1-1 with a goal by Jesse Elliott. The Cards tacked on three more goals in the first to go up 4-2 after the first period.
