Yay To vaginas. The Center for Women’s Concerns’ production of “The Vagina Monologues” raised $1,239 for its beneficiaries. This includes Planned Parenthood and the Women and Girls of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Great job ladies, that’s proof right there that vagina’s can do anything.

Nay To the proposal of the closing of the Point au Roche State Park. Listen Plattsburgh, you can’t take this sitting down. It would be a shame to see the city lose another hiking trail, beach and camp site. Considering, the park probably holds a special place in the locals’ hearts.

Yay To Saturday Night Live making fun of Plattsburgh. There was a skit where Fred Armisen, who was impersonating Gov. David Paterson, took shots at Plattsburgh by calling the city a “hell hole” and the people living here “rock eaters” I know some locals were upset but, come on, it was hilarious. Plattsburgh, don’t be so uptight, take it in the chin and realize you made it to the big time.

Nay To the earthquakes in 2010. Seriously, what’s going on? These last two months have seen devastation I haven’t seen in my lifetime with earthquakes in Haiti, Venezuela, Chili and Taiwan . It’s scary stuff.

Yay To the Student Association sending a bus of students to Albany on Tuesday, March 8, to protest against the $118 million in budget cuts. It’s a beautiful thing to see students involved in something that directly affects their well being.
