Feb. 21

2:07 a.m. — Mason Hall —  University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department ambulance  responded to a report of an intoxicated resident. The individual was transported to the hospital and college charges were filed.

2:51 a.m. — Macdonough Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department ambulance responded to an ill resident student.  The individual was transported to the hospital.

1:15 p.m. — Lot 18 — A resident student reported that an unknown motorist had struck her vehicle. Officers checked the area but did not find any other damaged vehicles. A motor vehicle accident report was filed.

Feb. 22

12:57 a.m. — Campus — University Police conducted a campus-wide light survey. The fixtures not working were noted and forwarded to maintenance and operations.

11:26 a.m. — Wilson Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to a fire alarm. A smoke detector had been activated by the use of a hair dryer. The alarm system was reset.

9:41 p.m. — Banks Hall — University Police responded to a report of the odor of marijuana coming from the first floor. University Police arrested Dwight Grimes and charged him with the crime of criminal possession of marijuana in the 4th degree. He was released upon an appearance ticket.

Feb. 23

3:20 a.m. — Off Campus — An off-campus student reported that her boyfriend threw her belongings out of their off-campus apartment and told her to leave. Officers advised the student that she should file a report with the Plattsburgh City Police. She was offered transport to the station, but declined.

Feb. 24
10:46 a.m. — Lot 12 — An off-campus student reported that his vehicle may have been struck and damaged while parked.  He noticed the damage after he drove his vehicle home.  A motor vehicle accident report was filed.

11:10 a.m. — Ward Hall — University Police spoke to a contractor about a fire that occurred Feb. 23. The contractor said cork material between floors was smoldering after they had cut some concrete rebar. The fire alarm was deactivated at the time.

2:59 p.m. — Podium — A staff member reported that a campus snow plow may have struck the wall of the library and that the vehicle operator was driving recklessly. Officers spoke to the driver, checked the building and checked the snow plow but could not find any fresh damage to the plow or the building.

4:30 p.m. — ACC —  An employee reported that they had slipped and hurt their knee outside of the college center.  The individual did not need medical assistance and an accident report was filed.

Feb. 25

12:00 a.m. — Banks Hall —  University Police responded to a report of an odor of marijuana and arrested Matthew Hanley of 51B Banks Hall. He was charged with the violation of unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released upon and appearance ticket.

10:05 p.m. — Whiteface Hall —  University Police responded to a report of the odor of marijuana. University Police arrested Erich Schur of 71G Whiteface Hall and Alexander Sypek of 31D Whiteface Hall.  Both individuals were charged with the violation of unlawful possession of marijuana and were released upon appearance tickets.

Feb. 26

11:34 p.m. — Brinkerhoff Street — Plattsburgh City Police arrested Kylie Brown of 147 Brinkerhoff St. and charged her with the violation of the city open container ordinance and possession of alcohol under the age of 21.  

Feb. 27

12:23 a.m. — Broad Street — University Police arrested Caitlyn Hitt of 41 Broad St. and charged her with a violation of the city open container ordinance and possession of alcohol under the age of 21.

8:44 p.m. — Fieldhouse — University Police received a request from New York State Police to attempt to locate an individual at the hockey game who was a suspect in the trespassing case they were investigating.  The area was checked but the individual was not located. The individual is not affiliated with the college.

10:08 p.m. — Fieldhouse — University Police received a report that an individual had been struck by a hockey puck at the hockey game. The individual was transported to the hospital by a personal vehicle. An accident report was filed.

Feb 28.

12:33 a.m. — Beekman and Broad Streets — University Police and the Plattsburgh City Police responded to a large altercation with an individual bleeding and unconscious from an assault. A large crowd dispersed as units arrived and no injured people were located.  A short while later, University Police and Plattsburgh City Police responded to 147 Brinkerhoff St. due to a report of the same groups again fighting.  A number of individuals were arrested and University Police assisted Plattsburgh City Police with transport to the city police station.
