FEB. 14

 

12:15 a.m. — Broad Street — Plattsburgh City Police arrested Casey O’Hara of 81 Moffitt Hall and charged him with violation of disorderly conduct. He was released upon an appearance ticket.

 

1:30 a.m. — Broad Street — Plattsburgh City Police arrested Mark Mouser of 74 Court St. and charged him with the violation of the city open container ordinance. He was released upon an appearance ticket.

 

2:57 a.m. — deFredenburgh Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department ambulance responded to a report of an intoxicated resident.  The individual was located and transported to the hospital.

 

FEB. 16

 

6:45 a.m. — Sibley Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to a fire alarm. The alarm was activated because someone accidently hit the pull box. The alarm system was reset.

 

10:59 a.m. — Brinkerhoff Street — University police received information that two affiliated groups may have been involved in an altercation on Brinkerhoff Street.  The incident reportedly occurred over the weekend of Feb. 8., but University Police was unable to confirm that the altercation took place.

 

11:10 a.m. — Macomb Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to a fire alarm. The smoke detector had been activated due to the use of hair spray. The alarm system was reset.

 

2:12 p.m. — City Hall Place — Plattsburgh City Police requested that University police handle a property-damage, motor vehicle accident on City Hall Place because their patrols were tied up. A motor vehicle accident report was filed.

 

4:15 p.m. — Lot 14 — Officers spoke to a resident student at Harrington Hall regarding noise complaints after his car alarm was repeatedly going off for no apparent reason. The student said he would take care of the problem.

 

7:37 p.m. — Lot 23 — University Police responded to a report of a domestic argument, but the parties involved left before patrols arrived on the scene. The parties involved were later located and reportedly had been involved in a prior incident on Montcalm Avenue. Plattsburgh City Police handled the incident as neither individual was affiliated with the college.

 

FEB. 17

 

12:58 p.m. — Lot 18 — A resident student reported that a motorist struck her parked vehicle. A license plate fell off the motorist’s vehicle and was found near the reporter’s vehicle. A motor vehicle accident report was filed, and the investigation is continuing.

 

2:54 p.m. — CV Hall — University Police responded to a report that a student showed up to class wearing a bathrobe and was acting strange. The faculty member said the student disrupted the class by reading a poem out loud and refused to stop when asked. Officers located the student in Wilson Hall, where he said he had intentionally disrupted class as a part of a social experiment. College charges were filed.

 

7:31 p.m. — Lot 18 — A resident student reported that someone stole his GPS unit from his parked vehicle. A crime incident report was filed.

 

FEB. 19

 

4:25 a.m. — Moffitt Hall — University Police responded to a report of an ill student. The student requested an ambulance to transport her to the hospital, and the Plattsburgh Fire Department ambulance responded and transported her to the emergency room.

 

6:33 p.m. — Memorial Hall — University Police and the CVPH ambulance responded to a report of an injured basketball player. One player was transported to the hospital via ambulance, while another basketball player was transported to the hospital by her father. Accident reports were filed.

 

10:32 p.m. — Wilson Hall — A resident assistant reported finding a beer can in the elevator. A student was identified as having the open beer and college charges were filed.

 

11:30 p.m. — deFredenburgh Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department ambulance responded to a report of an intoxicated resident at the main entrance. The individual was transported to the hospital via ambulance and college charges were filed.

 

Feb. 20

 

10:50 a.m. — Banks Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to a fire alarm.  A resident cooking in the kitchenette burnt some food, which set off the alarm. The alarm system was reset.

 

1:03 p.m. — Adirondack Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to a fire alarm. A resident using a hair dryer accidentally activated the alarm. The alarm system was reset.

 

1:12 p.m. — Whiteface Hall — An off-campus student reported that someone stole her unattended purse from the main lounge. A credit card from the purse was later used in the Angell College Center. A crime incident report was filed and the investigation is continuing.
