Ruiz, Mader lead charge in win over Norwich

After a loss to Westfield State Sunday afternoon, the Plattsburgh State men's basketball team rebounded swiftly, handling Norwich University on the road, 76-67, behind 20 points from Chris Ruiz.
PSUC improved its record to 2-1 while Norwich remains winless at 0-3.
Three Cards were in double figures. Ruiz led the team in scoring for the second time in three games, Brad Mader dropped 17 and Josh Bruno added 11 in just seven minutes of play.
Mader also exploded for 16 rebounds, giving him his first double-double on the season.
Norwich's Jaren Jeffcoat led the Cadets with 24 points going 4-for-6 from downtown and going 6-for-6 from the free throw line.
NU struggled shooting-wise when it mattered the most, going 10-for-35 (28.6 percent) in the second half and only mustering 32.3 percent in Tuesday's contest.
PSUC returns home next Tuesday at 8 p.m. to take on Clarkson.
