There's a place in Hell for you if you don't support Governor Palin.

There, I have your attention. Now read this very carefully and I'm sure you'll place my words into the context that best suits your feelings for Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin is a maverick. She is the only woman to have ever been chosen to run as a vice president for the Republican party. But to avoid playing the sexism card, that's all you'll read from me in regard to Palin's gender.

Other major issues are global warming and climate change. Palin believes global warming is not man-made. She isn't exactly sure what it is, which is fine to admit when you really don't know something. It's better than parading around as though you have all the answers, knowing well you're leading Americans down a road you yourself have yet to travel.

Maybe global warming is God, a suggestion Palin has offered. Regardless, if people have an expiration date and the earth is said to be a living, breathing organism, it must have an expiration date too. The responsibility can't be put solely on humans because that gives us too much credit and not enough to the natural order of things.

While on the topic of credit, Palin believes in giving tax breaks to big corporations as opposed to the middle class. Right now, this appears to be a great strategy. If big corporations are highly taxed, the economy will continue to plunder into recession. The more money the big guys owe, the more the middle class has to bail them out.

Palin remembers the burden of being part of the middle class. She herself has struggled with health care coverage for her family, which is why she believes that the federal government should have a hands-off policy. In the debate held Oct. 2, she asked if the federal government has run anything well lately. Giving health care over to the federal government will not ensure that everyone receives the best aid.

An example of a federal government failure would be in the avenue of oil dependency. Currently, we are dependent on other countries for our oil, while refusing to use domestic supplies for energy. Palin believes we should not seek aid and oil from countries who don't like us. Rather we should rethink these governmental practices and be open to the idea of off-shore drilling. Remember, Palin is from Alaska and knows that her state would be affected first, yet this is how strongly she feels about our dependence on foreign oil.

Oil: Plenty of people believe this is the reason we are in Iraq. I'm not going to say whether or not that is the case. However, I will say that Palin doesn't believe in surrendering to Iraqis. Early withdrawal means our losing in Afghanistan and we can't afford to lose a war with our current economic debt situation.

Further, what are we saying to the parents and family members of soldiers who have died defending our country? To give up is to say that we forsake our cause and their lives.

What would it take to end the war? We would have to sit down and chat with the very governments who hate us. That takes a tremendous amount of trust and can we as Americans, enemies to the very people we would need to conduct diplomacy, talk about democracy.

Don't go to hell. Make the right choice.
