12:05 a.m. - Brinkerhoff Street - The Plattsburgh City Police arrested Joshua Cookfair of 130 Brinkerhoff St., apt. 2 and charged him with a violation of the city noise ordinance. He was released upon an appearance ticket.
12:50 a.m. - Broad Street - The Plattsburgh City Police arrested Taylor Reynolds of 53 Broad St., apt. 5 and charged him with a violation of the city noise ordinance. He was released upon an appearance ticket.
1:34 a.m. - Court Street - The Plattsburgh City Police arrested Mark Bulmar of 139 Mason Hall and charged him with the crime of criminal mischief in the fourth degree and the violation of unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released upon an appearance ticket.
3:16 p.m. - Wilson Hall - University Police responded to a report that an individual had thrown several oranges out of a window at Wilson Hall. The oranges landed on the pavement. A resident student admitted to throwing the oranges. A service report and college charges were filed.
9:57 a.m. - University Police - An individual came to the University Police station with paperwork authorizing him to repossess a vehicle. The vehicle is owned by a parent of a resident student. The student was notified and turned the vehicle over to the individual. A service report was filed.
2:19 p.m. - University Police - A resident student reported that she purchased a cell phone from a web site and sent payment for the phone to the United Kingdom. The student never received the phone. A crime incident report was filed.
10:02 p.m. - Whiteface Hall - University Police confirmed a report that there were two resident students stuck in the odd elevator at Whiteface Hall. A service technician responded and released the students. The students admitted to jumping in the elevator prior to it stopping. A service report and college charges were filed.
9:20 p.m. - Lot 8 - A resident student reported that someone had wrapped her vehicle with clear plastic. The vehicle was not damaged and the owner only wanted the report on file. A service report was filed.
1:30 a.m. - South Catherine Street - The Plattsburgh City Police arrested Adam Smith of 52 Broad St., apt. B and charged him with the violation of possession of alcohol under the age of 21. He was released upon an appearance ticket.
2:43 a.m. - Margaret Street - University Police responded to a request for assistance from the Plattsburgh City Police.
University Police stood by while City Police dispersed a crowd involved in a fight on Margaret Street and Clinton Street.
The crowd dispersed without further incident.
A service report was filed.
Update to the Weekly Blotter dated March 18 - Gene Lucia of 106 Miller St. was identified and arrested for two counts of criminal mischief for his alleged involvement in removing catalytic converters from vehicles on campus. He is not affiliated with the college.
9:00 a.m. - Macdonough Hall - A graduate student reported receiving a suspicious phone call from an insurance company representative. Officers contacted the company and verified that the caller is an employee of the agency. A service report was filed.
5:50 p.m. - Memorial Field - University Police and the CVPH ambulance responded to the field behind Memorial Hall for a report of a student who was injured playing soccer. The individual was located and checked. He declined transport to the hospital.
12:07 a.m. - Fieldhouse - A New York State Police Investigator requested University Police with a traffic stop in the Fieldhouse parking lot.
Officers responded and the operator was an unlicensed driver and that the vehicle had switched license plates.
The individual was issued uniformed traffic citations for the violations and the vehicle was towed from the lot.
The individual is not affiliated with the college.
A service report was filed.
2:15 a.m. - Rugar Street - University Police stopped Vyacheslav Elgart of 7 William St., apt B for a traffic infraction and found him to be DWI.
The off campus student was arrested for DWI and released upon an appearance ticket.
A crime incident report was filed.
College charges were forwarded.
7:57 a.m. - Redcay Hall - University Police received a report of a broken window in Redcay Hall. A window on the Court Street side had been broken. The area was checked, but no evidence was located. The window was secured. A crime incident report was filed.
10:20 p.m. - Moffitt Hall - University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to a fire alarm activation in Moffitt Hall. A resident using hair spray accidentally activated the alarm. The area was checked and the alarm reset. A service report was filed.
11:11 p.m. - Fieldhouse - University Police responded to a report from an off campus student that someone had attempted to break into his vehicle parked at the Fieldhouse. The student was away at an athletic event. The area was checked and pictures taken. A crime incident report was filed.
11:49 p.m. - Broad Street - The Plattsburgh City Police arrested Kyle Deford of 96 Broad St. and charged him with a violation of the city noise ordinance. He was released upon an appearance ticket.
11:52 p.m. - Adirondack Hall - University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department ambulance responded to a reported fire alarm activation in Adirondack Hall. A resident burnt some food and accidentally activated the alarm. The area was cleared and the alarm reset. A service report was filed.
