Lady Cards swept by Clarkson, drop to 5-9

POTSDAM, NY - After making it to the championship match of the Best Western Ground Round Cardinal Classic Saturday, the Plattsburgh State women's volleyball team lost to Clarkson Tuesday, 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-15).
The loss drops the Lady Cards to 5-9 on the season against non-conference opponents. The first round of SUNYAC Eastern Division Pool Play of the season begins Friday.
The Lady Cards have not defeated Clarkson since October 2006. The Golden Knights now have a three-match winning streak against PSUC.
Junior Susan Bodkin led the Lady Cards with 18 assists. Bodkin has led the team in assists each of the first 14 matches of the season.
The Lady Cards will face Oneonta, Cortland, New Paltz and Potsdam this weekend. They were 0-8 against these opponents in 2007.
