Studentcity.com, a Web site dedicated to the planning of student vacations, has recently revamped its Web site in order to make planning trips easier for students looking to go on spring break.
The new site includes numerous features, such as "name your price," which allows students to find a get-away vacation that is still in their price range, and also guarantees students "the lowest price by 150 percent."
Along with this feature, studentcity.com allows students to blog and upload pictures of their recent trips onto the Web, which gives future travelers more information about a possible destination.
Overall, the site is trying to make student trips as easy to plan and as affordable as possible, and with spring break just around the corner, Plattsburgh State students should be taking notice.
Justin Farley, PSUC freshman, is one of the many college students around the country who plans on vacationing during this upcoming break.
Farley, along with his friends, said he is hoping to take a road trip to Florida, where they would spend the week at Universal Studios and enjoy the many things that Orlando has to offer.
"Right now we are just talking the trip over," Farley said. "We need to see who is going to go and how much money we have to budget."
As Farley has found out, planning a trip is just one of those activities that no one likes doing.
It is time-consuming, annoying and stressful, Farley said.
Studentcity.com aims to make the process a little bit easier.
"I've never heard of this Web site before, but I am definitely going to go check it out," Farley said. "If I end up having to fly to Florida, I hope it can make finding air fares easier, and hopefully it will give me a cheap price."
PSUC sophomore Danielle Tischenkel also decided to go to Florida with some friends over the break.
Like Farley, Tischenkel agreed that studentcity.com is a good way for college students to plan out their vacations.
