The No. 14-ranked Plattsburgh State men's basketball team continues its undefeated season on the road after a remarkable comeback at Middlebury last night, overcoming a 22-point deficit to beat the Panthers 78-74 in non-conference action.

The Cardinals remain perfect in road games this season (10-0) and have won 11 straight overall, the best mark under Head Coach Tom Curle. The 18th win in 20 games also marks the second quickest start in school history. The 1955-56 team won its first 18 games before dropping the final game of the season.

Things were looking a bit rough for the Cardinals (18-2, 11-0 SUNYAC) as they started out one of their worst games of the season, trailing 38-21 at the half. The Cardinals were only able to hit five out of the 25 shots from the field and only banked one three point shot out of five attempts.

It wasn't until the second half where the Cardinals came out on fire, scoring 57 points in the second half alone. The Cardinals hit an astounding 71 percent from the field, compared to the Panthers' 40 percent.

Senior Anthony Williams lead the game with 29 points, including a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe, while senior Antwane Miller added 18. Seniors Khylan Hunt and Travis Gorham had a combined 19 points and 15 rebounds to contribute to PSUC's amazing comeback. Gorham also had three huge blocks.

Aaron Smith led the Panthers (15-5) with 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Ben Rudin and Andrew Harris contributed with 12 points each.
