The Plattsburgh State men's rugby team has a chance to get their second win of the year tomorrow, while the women will have to wait another week to play.

The men's rugby team earned their first win of the 2007 fall season with a victory at St. Lawrence last Saturday.

Plattsburgh beat the Saints 29-19, improving their record to 1-2.

The men's rugby schedule continues at home for the remainder of the season, since the first three of six games were away.

According to New York State Rugby Online, the men's team is currently averaging 16.3 points per game, and giving up an average of 18.7 points.

Tomorrow PSUC hosts a stout defense in Union College at 1 p.m., who has only allowed an average of five points a game.

Plattsburgh will look to get to .500 this weekend and try to finish the season off strong with home games against RPI and Sienna - both of which will be at the same place and time as tomorrow's match.

"The rest of the games are going to be pretty even, because all of the teams are pretty good," Men's Rugby Club President Joe Davin said.

The women's team, however, will have to wait another week to play.

PSUC's game against Potsdam was scheduled for tomorrow, but was supposedly cancelled due to complication with referees.

PSUC's Women's Rugby Club President, Bonnie Leitch, said there was "a lot of miscommunication about whether or not they forfeited, or couldn't get a ref."

According to Leitch, Potsdam has agreed to play in Plattsburgh if they reschedule the game, since they couldn't host PSUC this week.

The next game for the team will be next weekend, where they host Oswego at 11 p.m.

The men's game will be played at 1 p.m.
