The commission met once a week from April to July and they came up with ideas to pitch to the town.
Nothing yet has gone through, but Monette feels like they are starting to go in the right direction.
"Students need to feel like they are part of the community while also acting in a mature manner," she said.
"Half of the solution is up to the residents and the other half is up to the students."
Keith Titmus is a senior and has been living off campus for three years. He said drinking contributes to most of the problems that occur at night either downtown or in the college housing area.
"Moderation is the key. A lot of these guys think its ok to go out, get wasted and do whatever they want," he said. "It is very annoying to hear a group of kids being insanely loud outside my apartment late at night."
Senior Jeremy Walsh believes that is a good idea, but also thinks the school should help out and that if there were more to do on campus, many of the off-campus issues would fade away.
"If the students had more things to do like school sponsored activities that were actually interesting, maybe there would be less drinking and getting into trouble," Walsh said.
