Saying goodbye to good things is always difficult.
Saying goodbye to good people is even harder. I was thrown into the position as photo editor the first semester that I joined Cardinal Points. It was an easy decision, and I quickly had to learn the ropes.
Having the opportunity to get a first-hand account of why I am here at Plattsburgh State has reassured me that I am moving in the right direction. I have been a photojournalism student for four years, and in the last year my life was thrown a challenge.
There is a lot to say about the individuals that I have had the privilege, or shall I say experience, of meeting and working with. Wednesday nights brought out the best in all of us.
There were the strange stories from Ryan Hutchins that always proved to be ridiculous; Colleen Sheehy's wild antics and gullible tendencies; Todd Costello strolling in the office at his leisure - cool, calm and collected; Ryan Hayner living in the office; Josh Cameron quiet at times yet ready to lend a helping word when necessary and needed; and last but not least, my neighbor, Daniel Shepard. He was my late-night walking buddy and he is a wonderful person, knows what he is doing in the industry and will go far.
And to the wonderful and amazing associates - Michelle Besaw, Carolyn Strauss, and Sam Hollingsworth - you are the glue that filled our cracks and held us together when we needed it.
One thing that I will always remember are our late nights and long days and wonderful friendships.
