Cardinal Points.
For the last three-and-a-half years, Cardinal Points has always gone before everything - school work, friends, everything.
Am I glad it's over? Yes.
Will I miss it? Yes.
Without the experience I gained from CP, I would not be where I am today.
I've made a lot of friends and I've written a lot of good stories, but I'm glad that it's time to move on in my career.
I want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way.
Hutchins, we may have had our fair share of arguments, but you know what you're doing and you have a promising career ahead of you.
Hayner, we went to Schenectady High together and I pushed you up the ranks as soon as you got here. You're a wonderful designer and the news section is going to miss you.
Colleen, yes, I am leaving. I know you don't want me to go but I must. You're in good hands next year - thanks for everything.
Holly, my neighbor, we had a lot of long walks home and some good conversations. Good luck in the future.
Todd, you've done a terrific job in opinions and you have the perfect voice for columns, I hope it works out for you in the future.
Josh, keep your head up and remember that as long as CP is always on your mind, you'll do a good job as editor. It's time constraining and it's a lot of work, but you've shown the dedication. Improve on what we've talked about and you'll do just fine.
Thank you to all this year's associates, as well as my advertising and business staff.
Without all of you, this newspaper would not print each week. And to the two new section editors, Michelle and Py, just follow the lead of your previous editor and everything will work out.
I also wanted to send a big thank you to all the faculty and administrators who have helped me along the way.
I didn't run into too many problems in my year as editor in chief because we have a wonderful staff at this college and they really know what they are doing.
Last, but not least, there's Dr. Davis and Mr. Murphy. Without the two of you, I would not be where I am today. You were able to "bring me over to the dark side" as Mr. Murphy would say and I owe all I've done to the both of you.
Thank you everyone. It's been a long, wonderful run. Speaking of running, it's time to go.
Now that Cardinal Points is over, I'm spending the weekend in New York City at Yankee Stadium.
Go Yankees!
