Dobson was happy with the effort and results considering it was not an indoor event, and like Asher, was more concerned with his teammates rather than himself.

"For most of us it was our first meet outdoors" Dobson said. "My teammates ran fairly well. The distance team carried us, in particular the 10k runners. My last race was the ECAC meet over a month ago. I felt a little rusty when I ran the 400 meters. I usually have an extra gear in the last 100 meters or so, but I didn't feel it. I'm not worried, again, it's the first meet and I know my time will come down."

Other men's track and field athletes who qualified for the SUNYAC championships were underclassmen Jordan Bieber and Jason Guennel in the 400- meter hurdles, Daly in the high jump and 110-meter high hurdles, senior Andrew Hunsinger, Sitch and freshman Doug MacAlpine in the 100 and 200-meters, freshman Chris Ketcham and junior Dan McIlrath in the 800-meters and sophomore Andrew Krug in the high jump.

Next up for the track and field teams is the Hamilton Invitational this weekend, which is the last meet before the SUNYAC championships.

Asher and Dobson are both anxious for themselves and their teammates at Hamilton.

"As for this weekend, I would say look for Joe Ver and Dan McIlrath to do something big. They have a lot of potential and we can look forward to their performances," Asher said.

Dobson added: "This weekend we travel to Hamilton. I expect to run faster and faster each meet, and I know my teammates will as well."
