Each semester, Quirinale said, as the school grows and more students and faculty come to PSUC, a proportionate increase of missing equipment occurs.

"A lot of kids from the dining hall turn the items back," Sodexho employee Stacey Farrington said. "I know a lot of kids that will return items back in the lost and found at the end of each semester because they forgot they had them."

Freshman Tina Skelton said: "I wouldn't, and I don't think a lot of kids really do steal from the dining halls but I don't see the problem when we pay all that money to eat there."

The contest asks for any trays, glasses, silverware, plates, cups, etc., to be returned back to the residence dining halls by May 4.

"Not many items have been returned yet," Quirinale said, "but there is still a lot of time left to do so."

The group who returns the most items wins a hot dog and hamburger BBQ for up to 30 people.

For those interested in getting involved in the contest, call the residence dining halls at extensions 2229, 2202, and/or 3085, and they'll come to your room and pick up lost equipment.
