The men's and women's track and field team is scheduled to be traveling to Bucknell University to participate in the Bison Outdoor Classic.

The two-day event will take place at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium on Friday and Saturday, April 13-14.

Bad weather, however, may prove otherwise as many track and field events have been canceled or postponed this season already.

Schools from all over the Northeastern region will be competing in the outdoor event, such as Colgate, Cortland, East Stroudsburg, Lehigh, Farleigh Dickinson, Kutztown University and Cornell.

Plattsburgh State will be well-rested after having last weekend off. The Hamilton Spring Fling Invitational was postponed last week due to inclement weather.

This rest can prove to be either a foe or friend to the Cardinals.

Samantha Paul is expected to do well in the 800-meter run and 200-meter dash.

John Daly, Jeff Dobson and Jason Dessureault should be a strong-hold for PSUC.

These athletes have been performing well all season and with good weather in Bucknell this weekend, they will do the same.

Kathryn O'Leary had a solid performance in the 400-meter hurdles at the RPI meet. Shannon Young took the shot put event there as well.

Bucknell's competition may be more tough for the Cardinals, being that there will be a lot more schools competing in this meet.

RPI's track and field meet included RPI, Springfield, Plattsburgh and St. Rose, while the Bucknell meet will host more than 20 schools from Pennsylvania and New York.

After Bucknell, the Cards are scheduled to go to the Hamilton Invitational.

From there, the SUNYAC championships are slated for the weekend of April 27 and 28. The Cardinals will still have four meets after that, with the season lasting until May 26.
